Cambrian Mountains

The Cambrian Mountains is a wild area of natural beauty lying between the Snowdonia and Brecon Beacons National Parks.

Situated in the very heart of Mid Wales, its a place where hills, river valleys and meadows have sustained life for millennia and landscape which is steeped in Welsh history and heritage.

Whether you are on foot, on 2 or 4 wheels there is over 450 square miles to explore.

On a clear day, from Pumlumon Fawr (2468ft/752m), where the River Severn and Wye rise, the Llŷn Peninsula and the highest peaks of Snowdonia can be seen to the north, the summits of the Brecon Beacons to the east, and the Preseli Mountains and the full sweep of Cardigan Bay to the west.
